Misu (Japanese traditional blind) Artisan

Born into a distinguished lineage of Misu artisans, established in 1789 during the Kansei era of the Edo period, their family has long served esteemed institutions such as the Kyoto Imperial Palace and Ise Grand Shrine. Their ancestor once accompanied Emperor Meiji on his journey to Tokyo, quietly weaving beauty into Japan’s ceremonial history. Today, two brothers carry forward this heritage—creating tranquil spaces imbued with a timeless sense of elegance.
